I heard there was a group like the Red Hat Society, but for younger women. Does anyone know the name of it? I heard there was a group like the Red Hats but for younger women. Does anyone know the name of it?
According to the FAQs at the official site:
We allow junior postulates membership if they will agree to wear pink hats and lavender clothing, exchanging them for red and purple only after having THE birthday. We like to refer to this ceremony as a RED-uation!
The spirit of the Society forbids that we make rules per se, but we strongly suggest that you not wear the full red and purple until you are fifty. Younger members are invited to wear all types of pink hats and all shades of lavender clothing and to otherwise participate fully in all that the Red Hat Society has to offer.
Some Pink Hatters may even opt to start chapters of their own. But, they need not keep to themselves. Many chapters contain members of a wide age range. The younger are simply "ladies in waiting" so to speak, among older friends. So what's wrong with that? Whoever thought women would be looking FORWARD to their fiftieth birthdays? Nevertheless, anticipate your RED-uations without reservation and enjoy the pink and lavender days to the fullest!

Red Hat Society red hat society scrapbook page examples? Where to get great prices on brand name scrapbooking tools?
ok i have 2 questions. Is there a good website that has scrapbook page layouts or examples for red hat society? 2.- Where can i get brand name red hat society decorations for my scrapbook at great prices. (Other than ebay!!)
Those sites have some printable Red Hat Society scrapbook items. If you have a color printer, you can print them right from your own home.
I couldn't find any websites that had examples of Red Hat Society scrapbook pages, but there are lots of sites with scrapbook pages layout ideas. I would think any of those ideas could be adapted for what you need. Here are some links:

As for where to buy their licensed products at a great price, you might try a store like Joann's or Michael's. Many scrapbooking stores should have Red Hat themed stickers and embellishments.

I am throwing my mother-in-law a surprise b-day party in a week and our theme is going to be the Red hat society (She is trying 50 and that has been the joke for 2 years now how she can't wait to be old enough not to care!) I was wondering if anyone has any recipes to make a "red hat" cake. Thanks in advance
You should do a red velvet cake with purple frosting. I'll find a recipe... although you can buy mixes that are just fantastic, so you can focus more on decorating it.
Red Velvet Cake
INGREDIENTS: 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 2 ounces red food coloring 1 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup shortening 1 1/2 cups white sugar 2 eggs 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 cup milk 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 cup white sugar 1 cup butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
Grease two 9 inch round pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Make a paste of cocoa and food coloring. Set aside.
Combine the buttermilk, salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the cocoa mixture. Beat in the buttermilk mixture alternately with the flour, mixing just until incorporated. Stir together baking soda and vinegar, then gently fold into the cake batter.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
To Make Icing: In a saucepan, combine the milk and 5 tablespoons flour. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Set aside to cool completely. Cream together butter, 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla until light and fluffy, then stir in the cooled milk and flour mixture, beating until icing reaches spreading consistency.
