Creative Silver Pendant
Any ideas for this birthday present?
My best friend's birthday is on the 24th of february, and i need to come up with a nice and creative gift for her. I need to give her something as good as she gave me for my last birthday: she put all my writings, copies of my paintings, sketches, drawings and photographs into one book. Along with that, she got me a custom made silver pendant with my name engraved in it, and a pair of shoes I've had my eyes on for a while. Along with that, she planned me a completely amazing surprise party. She worked so hard 2 months before my birthday planning everything for me, and she did that all while her leg was broken! I need to show her how grateful I am for having her as my best friend, but i don't know how. I don't want to give all her material stuff, no matter how expensive, i just want something she could look at and know it was made specially for her. Any ideas please...?
She's turning 17
Make an entire day about her. If she already has birthday plans, pick her up the day before and tell her to clear her schedule, and that you're picking her up for breakfast. Figure out her favorite foods and totally spoil her by making them. Then find out movies she's been wanting to see, things she's been wanting to do, etc. and take her to do them. Give her a little tiara and proclaim her princess for the day. Sky's the limit. Let her know that it's up to her, but have a list of things stashed away incase she's indecisive.
After a couple of fun things (movie and lunch, shopping, anything), have something really special planned; a surprise party, tickets to a musical or concert she's been wanting to see, etc. Finish it off by taking her home, producing a comfy pair of PJs and her favorite sleepover flick and some ice cream, and finish off the day winding down and acting like kids 
My best friend did this for me one year and I was SO thrilled! The best part was getting t do it all together

One-of-A-Kind Jewelry? Simplistic?
I'm looking for a silver pendant that is simplistic looking and one-of-a kind. I was inspired by a picture I saw and would make my own but I do not know how, have the resources, time or the creative ability. I have browsed many of the jewelry sites that advertise "one-of-a-kind" jewelry but it is all very rustic looking. I'm looking for something a little less...gaudy/colorful. Something very simple but very original.
